Warning: I will be bitching.
I was just saying how great I felt. I think all my 1st trimester yuckies are coming back. I read it could happen, i was just hoping it wouldn't. This week has gotten the best of me.
Starting Sunday before we got to gracies bridal shower, I was really dizzy and felt faint. I ate some peanut butter and drank a bottle of water and it helped and was ok by the time we got to the party.
Monday night, I woke up at 2. Threw up everything in my tummy. Didn't feel immediate relief so I slept on the bathroom floor for a little until I was sure I was done. :(
well, at about 9:30 last night, I finished having my very first complete meltdown/anxiety attack because I was dumb and read way too much and freaked out that I'm not ready. I'm terrified of labor, and we haven't bought a diaper yet. seriously, that was cause for me to cry hysterically - we don't have any diapers. I know now that we still have time. I'm ok NOW...but I couldn't stop before. I just had this overwhelming feeling that we're running out of time. It's only 6 weeks until he's technically fully baked!
I told Gabe that I wanted to buy stuff right now just to make myself feel better. like the pack and play or the stroller (any of the things I didn't expect people to buy for us) he calmed me down finally and we went into the baby's room and cleaned a little and organized his tiny clothes. :)
So after I FINALLY calmed down, I check my email and there's one from our realtor...
So we signed the papers yesterday but I guess they got pissed when they went to the house and saw that we cleaned out the rest of our crap, including supplies that we had there to start making shutters. They weren't shutters for our house. Gabe's parents had some made for their house and brought the extras over to our house with the intention of having them made for us. We Never did it because we knew we weren't staying.
They sent this threatening email to us last night saying we better give them back or the deal is off. I guess they told their insurance that the house had shutters.
I said f you - it wasn't ever in the contract and they shouldn't have gone and assumed they were for the house when we never listed it that way (which would have been a selling point don't you think!?!?) and they should have checked first. That's like assuming the computer we had sitting in the room while the house was shown was included too.
Gabe, being the sweet teddy bear he is, told them the whole story and offered for them to come get them. I know it was just to be sure that we got rid of the house that he's letting them have them, But it still pisses me off that they did it this way. They actually said that we "caused them headaches" we did???? I highly doubt that!
So they are. Today. Knowing full well that they don't even belong to us. Or fit the freakin house! They're taking the shutter scraps and I have to be here to let them get them. Annoying. I may not be able to keep my mouth shut. I might just have to ask why they assume so much...
But whatever. After today they can't pull this crap again. The papers go to the bank today and they should never contact us again.
Yeah.. I'm irritated about it. If they had approached us different, like not threatening, I'd be much better. But the way they did it wasn't cool.
Anyway sorry for my rant. Like I said, tough week already. I hope it gets better.
It's funny though, after all that- all I have to do is watch my belly dance and move and I'll be smiling instantly. :-)

29 weeks!!
This one is a big update - I guess I just felt like writing today :-)
The sonogram went great! Everything looks normal and I'm officially off bed rest, I am supposed to just take it easy. PHEW! I got 3 more photos and had my favorite sonogram lady. She's so nice and always tells me what she sees even though she's not technically supposed to.
How far along? 29 weeks - (11 weeks or 77 days to go!!) what’s scarier… only 7 more weeks until they’ll stop trying to keep him in! at 36 weeks, if he’s ready, he’ll be here!!
How big is Santos? In the beginning, I remember skipping ahead to these photos and thinking "I can't wait until he's that big" well, he's now THAT BIG. It's so exciting! He's the size of a butternut squash and almost as tall as he'll be when he gets here!
Development:
• Your baby boy has grown about another 1/4 pound in the last week. He begins a rapid growth phase and will begin to put on nearly 1/2 pound each week. In fact, he will likely triple his weight by your due date.
• Your baby boy’s organs all are fully formed and functioning well, although the lungs have not matured completely.
• Your baby boy’s bone marrow has taken over production of the red blood cells from the liver.
• The total amount of amniotic fluid is reaching a peak around now, much of this due to the fact that the baby is urinating up to two cups of urine a day!
How big is mama? I gained 2 pounds since last week which puts me at 19 pounds total gained. (I look so sleepy in this photo!)
Sleep? Every 1 ½ to 2 hours I get up to pee, like clockwork…. I think it’s training for the first few weeks baby is here. :)
Movement? Thank God for movement. He’s getting to the point where it’s no longer belly, and it’s all baby. I feel everything he does. I can’t wait until there’s an elbow or a foot sticking out!
Food? I’m eating so much this week! But now I’m WAY uncomfortable after I eat. There’s not enough room for the both of them, my tummy and the baby. Baby always wins ;-)
Belly button? it’s still there! And still deep. (less deep for sure but not ready to pop at all!)
Milestones? Seeing his little face on the 3d sonogram. He’s got chubby cheeks already! AND I'm off bed rest. Thank GOD everything was normal today!
Looking forward to next? tonight, we’re going back to the 3d sonogram place because when we went, Santos was being camera shy. They said that since it wasn’t the best session, we could come back at no charge. I hope he’s in a better mood! I can’t wait to see him :-)
Friendly warning: The following may be TMI for some, but it’s my journal and I want to remember these things (and it's really not that bad I promise)… but, if you don’t want to hear about pregnancy symptoms, don’t read on….
Symptoms? I wanted to make a list of my Symptoms/No Symptoms so far. The list below gives the typical pregnancy symptoms and a brief description of what I have experienced of them so far, or not experienced.
he has his mouth open here! So cute to watch him. I have a feeling I'll just stare at him for a while when he's finally here.

Symptoms? I wanted to make a list of my Symptoms/No Symptoms so far. The list below gives the typical pregnancy symptoms and a brief description of what I have experienced of them so far, or not experienced.
- nausea - Big time in the beginning. I didn’t throw up daily (it was more like 2-3 times a week), but I had a definite aversion to food. All kinds of food. And Gabe seemed to want to eat lots of stinky food. Even miso soup. I remember being so extremely disgusted.
- fatigue - Through the first trimester and even a month into the second, all I wanted was sleep. Then, I had pep, and felt great! I’m worried, because the last couple of days, I’ve been feeling the sleepies again. I want to keep my pep just a little longer please!!
- leg cramps - Nope, but I did have a little bit of restless legs in the beginning. I have heard that cramps/Charlie horses might spring up in the third trimester though. Let’s hope not.
- hip pain - YES...
- back pain - YES. I’ve always had a bad back. Hip and back pain has been almost daily, especially lately. We have a plug in massager thingie that seems to help a little when it gets really bad. I just wish I could go to the chiropractor or something and get a full body adjustment. Crack all of my bones please! I’m used to cracking my own back, but with the tummy as tight as it is, I can’t anymore.
- dizziness - In the beginning, same time as the constant sleep and nausea, I would go to publix to get food, and within 15 minutes, would have to sit down wherever I was. People thought I was strange. I just plopped on the floor until I felt better.
- constipation - been pretty regular. I’ve been drinking a ton of water. I think it helps.
- nose bleeds - Not for me but Gabe has. Sympathy pregnancy symptoms? Lol
- trouble breathing- Lately this has been an issue for me. I feel like I just can’t take a deep enough breath. Especially while I’m laying down. I’m sure this is just another space issue.
- pregnancy dreams - I had some CRAZY dreams (just to give you an example… I had lunch with Mr. and Mrs. Obama and we ate onion rings in my mom‘s kitchen… yeah…), some “bow chick a wow wow” dreams, and a few really sweet ones. Recently, my Granny (Irish one that is passed on) came to visit me and tell me how excited she is for Santos. She was thrilled. I woke up with a really peaceful feeling. I don’t know how real those kinds of things are (ghosts, spirits, whatever you want to call them), but I’m glad for dreams like that.
- swelling - no swelling of anything so far (already fat enough fingers crossed)
- blood pressure - So far, every time it has been checked, it has been perfect. I pray it stays that way!
- heartburn/indigestion - In the very beginning and every time I eat garlic, which I LOVE.
- Veins - no new ones yet
- Stretch marks - 2 major ones on my tummy that I can see (and I can‘t see the whole underside anymore LOL) - a few more than I used to have on my hips and thighs. Small price to pay. I lotion a lot. I feel when I’m getting bigger too because I feel stretching and itching. Whenever I do, I just lotion some more. No biggie.
- Headaches - not really. None so bad that I can remember at least.
- Hemorrhoids - not yet, but I fully expect to get them after labor. I have a sensitive tush already. LOL
- Pregnancy brain/ forgetfulness - I’m always absent minded, nothing new there. I forget important things and remember stupid little things that no one should.
- Crazy emotional outbursts - maybe 2 total so far. I think I’ve actually been more balanced in pregnancy than I am naturally. Seriously! I really have enjoyed being pregnant!
- Skin, hair, nail changes - rapid nail growth, but my hair is yuck. I know that’s partly from when I bleached the hell out of it. I can’t wait for it to grow out so I can start cutting it again.
he has his mouth open here! So cute to watch him. I have a feeling I'll just stare at him for a while when he's finally here.

Update
Went to my doctor this morning and so far everything looks ok. I still have to wait for the sonogram on Thursday to be cleared from bed rest but everything else seems good.
I told her how I felt like I'm getting huge and she told me to start stretching to make room for the baby. I'll have to look that up online. Pregnancy stretches. Hopefully after I'm cleared on Thursday, I'll look into prenatal yoga. That should help.
Over the weekend, I got a letter in the mail from my friends where I used to work. They made me a to do list for my bed rest week. LOL too cute.
Here's a photo of the Dads on Father's Day.
The cake was so cute wasn't it? (not one of mine, but between you and me... I ate the whole cake! I felt so guilty yesterday. There was way too much left over for me to have eaten the rest!! but it was so gooooddddddd..... )
They gave Gee 2 adorable outfits for the baby, some clothes for daddy, and this cute little book:
Gee read it to the belly last night. So sweet. :-) He's going to be a good daddy.

7 months!!!
This morning, my stupid cat, Mija (meehaah), decided it would be sweet to watch over me. Problem- she was staring at me all wide eyed from 2 inches from my face!! When I opened my eyes and all I saw was her face I flipped. Tell me that's not creepy!! Sorry, it scared me.
How far along? 28 weeks. 7 months!! third trimester. We're in the home stretch!
How big is baby? The size of a small cabbage. At yesterdays sonogram, he weighed 2 lbs 11 oz. My little monkey :)
Development:
Your baby is almost 17 inches tall now (nearly as tall as he or she will be at birth), and close to three pounds (a weight that will likely more than double — and may even come close to tripling — by delivery time). His or her wrinkled skin is smoothing out as more fat is deposited under the skin surface. This fat, called white fat, is different from the earlier brown fat that your developing fetus accumulated. Brown fat is necessary for body temperature regulation while white fat (the fat you have, Mom) actually serves as an energy source.
Which explains why your energizer baby feels so…well…energized! Space in your baby's living quarters is now at a premium, so you'll be feeling jabs and pokes from elbows and knees mostly. But those kicks will be more vigorous than before (and also less erratic) because your baby is stronger and excitedly responding to all sorts of stimuli — movement, sounds, light, and that candy bar you ate half an hour ago.
Luckily, your baby doesn't have teeth yet that would need a brushing after that sugary treat, but it won't be long before you'll need to buy that first baby toothbrush! You'll recall that your baby's baby-teeth buds formed weeks ago, but now the buds for permanent teeth are forming in his or her gums as well.
How big is mama? Up 2lbs this week from last week. I think now is when I'll start the rapid growth phase. I say bring it! He's supposed to nearly triple from now until the end so it only makes sense that I gain now.
Sleep? Last night I was exhausted. Seriously tired. I hadn't recovered from the night before so I fell asleep pretty early for me. Like 10. Lol... I pushed to watch the new top chef and passed out.
Movement? So much. Thank God. The only thing that was comforting me was his kicks on the way to the ER. I'm glad he's so active. He reminds me he's doing ok in there. I was reading that at this stage, he is able to react more than just random spasims. If I eat sugar or if there's a bright light, or the heart monitor!!! He reacts to them. Lol the heart monitor is the funniest because you can actually hear him dash to the opposite corner of my tummy. As if to say "no! Not right now, I just want to be alone." :-)
Food? Cereal is my new bedtime snack, and I love it.
Milestones? A new month! I can now say "I'm 7 months pregnant" :) isn't it funny though that it's actually 10 months and not 9? There's 2 weeks freebies at the begining and the end so it's technically 10 months. Sounds like forever, right now it feels like nothing! I feel like this is seriously flying by. I think I'll miss being pregnant a little :) Santos here though, that will be amazing.
What I miss? Nothing.
Looking forward to next? This weekend we were supposed to have the 3d sonogram done but I'm going to wait to see how I feel. I'm still going to visit beck, I'm just going to rest at moms house. We plan to go through old photos and they'll drink wine and relax with me. Mom and dad have had a pretty tough time with my grandma and it seems like Friday night will be the grand finale showdown with her. She's going to a home. It's MUCH needed and i'm glad they'll be able to get some help with her. So yeah, this weekend will be nice to do nothing with them. They deserve a stress free afternoon.
And Sunday Gayle is bringing dinner to our house so gabe and his dad can celebrate fathers day together :-) even though I'm not really going to go anywhere but the bathroom, I'm excited to spend time with the whole familia both Saturday and Sunday. We have a good family, and I'm SO grateful for them.

Last night/this morning
Before I say anything know that baby is completely fine right now :)
Last night we had a trip to the ER. I was bleeding (a lot) when we went to go to bed. I went to the bathroom and sat and heard liquid, and thought "hmm... I'm not peeing yet..." wiped and flipped the f out when it was blood.
We were there for about 4 hours. 2 iv bags, an ultrasound, urine tests, and baby heart monitored the whole time. My doctor contacted. The works.
Nothing wrong. Baby was happy and healthy. Placenta fine. Fluid around baby fine. They didn't know where the bleed was from and basically described it something similar to a broken blood vessel.
They sent me home with orders to see my doc today and pelvic rest. (like I wanted anything else but rest after that and getting home at 2:30am!)
Saw my doc and she sent me for another sonogram to check to see where the bleeding is from because she could see from the exam this morning that it's coming from the cervix. She checked his heartbeat which was good.
She said everything looks ok and since I'm not in pain it's not too worrisome. Just making sure. She said sometimes, it just happens.
Had the sonogram and once again baby looked ok. He weighs 2 pounds 11 ounces right now and doesn't like being monitored. Last night and this morning he kept kicking the monitors. :)
Turns out I have a hemitoma (sp?) on my cervix and I guess it just got irritated. I'm on bed rest until I see the doctor again next week, but hopefully it should heal and seems like the bleeding is already stopping. So that's good.
Big scare, but thankfully it seems common and under control.
Stay in there a few more weeks Santito! You need to gain a few more pounds!

Dream
So last night I dreamt that I went into a tiny ice cream shop and ordered a brownie sundae with cookies n' cream ice cream with hot fudge and nuts. Yum. Yes I'm a porker even in my dreams. What's worse is that I remembered what I ordered!
Well, when I went to leave... I was too big to fit through the door. I had to leave out the back, where they get the shipments in.
As you can tell, I'm feeling a bit big lately. LOL!

Update
Just heard from my doctor. I passed my glucose test, but on the higher side than preferable. I scored 131 and anything above 139 is at risk. They're not sending me to the 3 hour follow up one so that's good news. She said just to be careful with my sugar intake. So that's that.
Yesterday was miserably hot again and I had my favorite things ever:
I'll have to limit those icees now. Oh well. Small price for a healthy Santos. :)
While we were at target, we got an inflatable pool....... I'll let you know how that one goes. Lol

This is what I did yesterday
And nothing else really... Lol
Gabe said I should add yellow dots to the top, and after consulting with my lady, she wanted yellow and blue dots on top.
Personally, I liked it better without the added dots, but whaddya gonna do? :-) hope they love it. Just dropped it off. Phew!

27 weeks!
How far along? 27 weeks, we are officially in our third trimester, and exactly 3 months from our due date!! Holy cow, this is going by so fast!
How big is Santos? As big as a head of cauliflower.
Development: "Are you dreaming about your baby? This week, your baby may be dreaming about you, too. Brain wave activity measured in a developing fetus shows different sleep cycles, including the rapid eye movement phase, the stage when dreaming occurs.
By now, your baby, who weighs in at about two and a half pounds and stands — or rather lies — at almost 16 inches (measured head to toe) has added blinking to his or her growing bag of tricks. (Outside in the real world, blinking is necessary to help keep foreign objects out of the eyes.) Other impressive new talents being added to your baby's roster in the womb include coughing, more intense sucking, and, perhaps most important, better breathing."
How big is mama? Some days I feel like an elephant. Especially when I’m trying to get up from laying down… not a pretty sight. I gained no weight since last week and my inches around stayed the same this week.
Sleep? Hah. I turn from left to right all night trying to alleviate whatever limb or hip that has fallen asleep and by the time I reach the other side, I’m awake from the effort it took. PLUS, Last night alone… I peed, no joke, 6 times. All the while daddy is snoring away. Lol lucky daddy. (not for long though… :)
Movement? Santos, Why are you so shy?? LOL don’t take after your mama with this one! Why is it when you hear new voices you stay perfectly still? But at home with no one but the cats and the birds and your daddy, you kick like you’re in tae kwon doe? Yesterday was hilarious... I just finished telling Gee that I was so full that it would be painful if he kicked, so what does daddy do? starts yelling at the belly "hey baby!! Hi!!" and of course baby got excited to hear his dad and started his kicks that hurt SOO bad. It's cute that he reacts to his daddy's voice though. Every day when he gets home from work he says hi to him and there's always a reaction from Santito.
Food? Slurpee, Icee, Slushie, whatever you want to call ‘em, that’s what I want right now. I’m sure it has a LOT to do with the overwhelming heat. I keep reminding myself, it’s only going to get worse as the summer goes on. My plan? Stay indoors at all costs, and hopefully go swimming a lot.
Milestones? A few this week: Mom and Dad were able to feel him a little bit. That was pretty cool. My body is changing in a way that I would prefer the whole baby shower not read about LOL so I’ll keep it to myself. And of course, we’ve transitioned into the third trimester, which is so awesome. We’re on our way baby boy! I can’t wait to meet you. I love you so much already.
What I miss? being able to get up with ease and without making a grunt...
Looking forward to next? Seeing Beckala at some point. Hopefully another sonogram is in our future, if not, I’ll be scheduling one the weekend of the shower. Also, I signed up for 2 classes. The first will be one Gee will come with me to, it's about childbirth and preparing. The other will be just for me, it's about breastfeeding and bonding with baby. I'm really excited about them!

The weekend
I had such a nice weekend. Nothing really baby related, but nice nonetheless.
Friday I went over to my friend Yvonne's house. She just moved and wanted us to she the before :-) she loves re-doing houses. We had dinner with Leah and her daughter Hailey and caught up.
Saturday gee and his mom went to a book sale and then we had breakfast after. Then I headed over to the mall and went shopping with the girlies. And after, went down to coral springs to see the family.
Grandma is insane as always, but now it's just sad. She can't have a conversation at all. Not even about her favorite topic: herself. She tried to tell me that I was there when she was young and in her dancing days and that I knew her mother who died well before I was born. It's so tough to try to understand what she's talking about.
Anyway we had dinner with her and then brought her back to her condo. When we got home, mom and dad tried to feel Santos kick.
He was a little shy but they managed to feel his lighter kicks. He didn't really give them a good one. It was cool that they were able to feel him though.
Sunday was a lazy day. We're catching up on trueblood (show on hbo about vampires lol) because the season is starting back up again. In between episodes, gabe finally got a haircut!!
The way the lady styled it he looks just like his dad. :-)
Went home and resumed our trueblood-a-thon and ate dinner. Couldn't ask for a nicer weekend.

26 weeks!
How far along? 26 weeks - 6 1/2 months - a week from our 3rd trimester!
(i've been feeling pretty ugly lately so I put makeup on for this weeks photo shoot lol!)
How big is Santos? The length of a cucumber. When he lays horizontal, I can feel him at both sides of my tummy.
Development:
• Your baby boy's senses are becoming increasingly keen. The eyes are completely formed and he is aware of light and darkness. He will turn his head or close his eyes in response to bright light, and his eyes will move around in the sockets.
• Your baby boy has more defined sleep and wake cycles.
• Your baby boy's brain waves are similar to a newborn's.
• The survival rate for babies born at 26 weeks is about 80%; of surviving infants, the rate of serious medical complications is about 45%. Remember that survival and complications rates are highly dependent on the baby’s sex and race as well as the quality of the NICU.
• Do your insides feel like the ankle express? They might because your baby is doing a lot of moving around during this time, helping his limbs develop.
Size of mama? By the doctors scale this morning, I only gained 3 pounds since last month. I gained a pound since last week. I measure a full inch larger this week! I think it's really noticable!
Movement? This morning the doctor tried to get a listen to his heart. He wouldn't sit still. He kept moving around. She finally got to hear it long enough and it was nice and strong. He's been moving non stop since we got back from our visit with Ella. The video actually doesn't do it justice. Lol
Food? Nothing really strange this week. Although, I almost bought tomato juice at publix this morning. For the first time ever, it seemed appealing to me. I didn't want to waste money if I didn't like it though. So on the shelf it stayed.
Milestones? In our count down of days till we're due, we are in the double digits. Only 98 days left. Ahh!
Also, when we were up north, Jess was able to feel Santos kick. :-) she's the first! (other than gabe of course)
What's next? Wellllll today the doctor told me that I'm due for the second round of glucose testing. (routine) so I will schedule that soon. Not too bad -I drink something that tastes like flat orange soda, wait an hour, and they take my blood and that's it. No biggie.
Fun stuff coming up is that I'll be sending out the shower invites soon.
Yes, those are maternity pants. My belly is finally big enough that I can wear the ones Gayle bought me.
I've decided: aside from a little back pain, i feel great! I like being pregnant! :-)

belly movin'
so I have to apologize 1. for the quality of the video, and 2. because it seems as though lately I can't breathe normal. I can't seem to take a deep enough breath. I think it will only get worse as the baby grows. I remember Jess had a hard time with that around 7 months when she visited. Anyway, here's a video of my belly jumping and dancing. I tried to mark the bumps, but I missed a few. The end is really easy to see.
I go to the doc tomorrow for my monthly check up, so I'll have the usual weekly interview tomorrow. I just thought I'd share the video :-)
