Great day! :)

Nothing baby related to report. Just that the belly is ever growing!

We had a really lovely day though. I made us breakfast and we played a challenging game of Mario :) then we got our act together and went for some yummy Mexican food. Thanks mom for the gift cert!


We had some time to kill before showtel started so we went window shopping. Nothing really great out there. Old navy isn't as cheap as I remember...

We discovered a new cupcake place I can't wait to bring Jessie to!! It's right next to her favorite sushi place too. Jess - move home already!



Then we walked off the sugar at showtel. It was really interesting, but last year was better.


This one was my favorite.

Now I'm pooped! I ate, I saw, now I rest. :)

18 weeks!

Sorry i'm late on this. This week has been pretty yucky. I was sick and although I usually post from my phone, I just didn't feel like it. :-/ I'm feeling ok now. Still stuffed up but better.

Anywhoooo... Here are the questions:

How far along? 18 weeks!

Baby size? A mango

Craving? Not really! Gabe is craving foods more than I am. He HAD to have Thai food the other night. Lol but strangley... Now I want a mango.

Weight? The wii says I lost another 2 pounds. Think I should worry? I hope the baby is growing ok :-/ I wonder if it was because I was sick all week.

Movement? Yes. But still not enough for gabe to feel it through my extra layer. :)

Sleep? Eh, hit or miss. I wake up a lot. Plus my dreams are out of control. Last night I dreamt of my friend Joey who lives in New York. We were back in middle school wearing our nirvana t-shirts. :) miss you joey!

Clothes? Getting groceries yesterday I thought "I'll only be out for a little let me just zip up my jeans." By the time we got to the store, I had to unbutton. So uncomfortable! Thank god I was wearing a long shirt and it was only walmart...

Milestones? As I'm writing this the baby started kicking so I put my hand where he is and felt it on the outside!! So exciting!!!

Looking forward to next? So much. Obviously the next sonogram still but also having family feel the baby kick. That will be huge I think.

Oh, and THIS: shower plans have begun! It will be on July 25th. Save the date! :) I'm super excited because a few of our California familia will be able to make it! I totally wasn't expecting that. It's going to be so great! Little Carlos is coming!!

Leaf Canopy

I went to Ikea today to look at some of their baby stuff. I loved this leaf canopy.











I guess Little Man did too because he made it his tent while we were getting ready to attach it to the wall. :-)

17 Weeks!

Baby is 17 weeks along today!!! Woooo!

So I have been reading some other preggo blogs and I liked this weekly update Q&A style:


How far along? 17 weeks.


How big is baby? The size of a sweet potato!

Total weight gain: hold on, let me get my fat ass on the wii....

I'm -1 since last week (although I'm growing for sure!), and -13 lbs since the start of my pregnancy... go figure, I try to lose weight normally and can't, I get pregnant and lose 13 lbs! cruel... although I was throwing up a lot... lol. not a good way to do it.


Clothes? I went out to Target yesterday to see if I could find some cheap run around dresses... eh... not so much. I ended up buying a belly band to wear my jeans longer. It's fantastic! It's like a tube top, for your muffin top! lol

Stretch marks? yes, but I am cocoa buttering my belly. no new ones so it must be doing some good.

Sleep: terrible. I woke up 4 times last night to pee, and at 2:30 I couldn't go back to sleep because I couldn't get passed Gabe's snoring... usually I can just block it out no problem. Not so much lately... Good news is, baby can hear now so he'll be well used to that sound when he's here. lol!!

Movement: yes, I feel the Jelly, but it's not crazy yet. I can't wait to feel serious kicking and dancing. Hopefully soon. Everything I read says it can be any time now, but since it's my first baby I may not feel it as well.

Food cravings: Still all about thousand island dressing. With cucumbers is the best!

What I miss: my 12 cups of coffee per day. I treat myself to some decaf every once in a while. I'm doing awesome with soda! I thought I'd miss it more, but lately it's all juice, gatoraide, vitamin water, and a TON of plain old water. I'm proud of me for that one!

What I am looking forward to next: finding out the gender on the 21st. I hope I can break the "he" habbit if baby turns out to be a she!!!

Milestones: The past week it was being recognized as pregnant, and feeling the baby flutters. :-)

Oh, and THIS: I'm reading a new book. it's called belly laughs by jenny mccarthy. yes, that crazy woman who picked her nose on that mtv show 10 years ago. I like it so far, I'm half way through it. It's not as crude as I had hoped, but it's still brutally honest. I like that. I feel I should be very prepared for what is coming and I don't want any details spared.

Like I said, I'll try to do this every Thursday. :-) I should post belly photos too huh? alright....

Es bueno

Got a call from my doc this morning and all the bloodwork I had done the day of the sonogram came back good. Nothing to worry about. :)

I have been reading a few blogs that are similar to mine and liked a few things they share. I'll start doing weekly updates but here's a few things that happened over the weekend...

Craving: thousand island dressing - on everything. I dip pizza in it even. Lol

Milestone: I was buying a chocolate with the girls at kilwins on Saturday night and a lady turned to me and said "is that for the baby?" :-) yay I look pregnant and not just fatty!

Movement: I had been feeling flutters but they're getting a little stronger now. Friday we were driving and I said F@€&! and got a kick real strong! Lol Its not consistent yet though. I can't wait for that.

Oops: at Nichole's fashion show on thursday night, they were serving food, and I ate a mini taco which tasted amazing. I later realized it was made with sushi tuna. It was so yum though!! ;)

I feel great though! I have nothing to complain about at all. I just pray the next half goes well!

Nichole and I wanted to play in the sunshine because it was so beautiful on saturday afternoon! So we put our suits on and went to her pool.

I don't think I've laughed that hard in a while. Turns out some bad kids caught him and thought it would be fun to throw him in the pool. We felt like we did a good deed after we saved him. :-)

The rest of the weekend i won't even get into. Lots of food and lots of talking with my girls. I really miss them and was glad to spend time with them.

Good news is my apetite is coming back and I don't have any aversions and don't think I'll be throwing up anymore. Yay! Pickles and ice cream here I come! Lol

the new look doesn't mean anything

I changed the look of the blog but all the kids backgrounds weren't so fun, except this one. :-) I liked it. Even though it is kinda boyish... We still don't know what the baby is but I have a habbit of saying HE. We shall see... I might have to change it to the barbie background afterall... and that might kill me (only because I hate barbie...when I was little, I climbed trees and hung lizards from my ears like earings... no barbies for me thank you). LOL :P

Heard you little jelly!!

Yesterday we had our checkup and we finally heard our little munchkin. It was unreal! I heard that it sounded like galloping horses and it literally did! Reallllllly fast. Everything is going good. I thank God. We seem to be having a really healthy pregnancy. Please let it continue :)


Gee brushed up on his parenting skills in the office waiting room. (he looks scary in that photo. I don't like it. Lol)

After, we went down to faith farm to price La Z Boy recliners. I want one of those instead of a glider. They were pretty reasonable there.

Then we went to our friend Nichole's fashion show. She looked so amazing!!! And did SUCH a good job!!


She could have been a real model. (the photo makes her look like she has wings!) It was awesome hanging out with everyone and supporting our Chica for her stage debute. :-) do we have a second career for miss lovely Nichole?? Maybe so...

I could be really crazy.... But I felt something in my tummy while we were there last night. It felt like it could have been a kick. Who knows though. It's still early. They say between 16-20 weeks... But... (shrug)

Alls I know is, it wasn't gas. :)

16 weeks!

Hey, we are 4 months pregnant! Yay!!

I'm all bubbily from yesterday still. :-)

Last night I wanted to practice holding the baby so I swaddled mija and pretended...





She hated it.

Today we go for our monthly OB checkup and I think we'll be able to hear the heart this time! Yes!!! We've been able to see it on the sonograms but we haven't heard it yet. I'm excited!!!

After that, it's another month before we get more baby activity. Well professional activity that is. I've been reading that the baby can start kicking any time after 16 weeks but closer to 20.

I've been feeling flutters and they say that can be baby too. Jelly is supposed to be practicing moving all the time :-)

It could also be gas.... Lol! But I can feel the difference now. Sometimes it's definitley possibly the baby. :)

Everything went so well... With the exception of finding out the gender lol!! They couldn't see. Oh well, next month hopefully.

They took a million photos but only printed a few for us. The doctor went through each one with us after and gave us the good news that everything looked normal.

So relieved! Can't wait to see the baby again next month. He grew so much already from last time!!

I was so happy that Gayle, and my parents were able to make it. It was awesome to see their reactions. They're so excited. I'm so glad they were able to come. :)

Yeah right! I think if gee said that I'd be more mad than if he just called me a fatass. Lol I'm serious! Don't dance around things, I say call it like it is. It doesn't bother me at all! It's all for the baby anyway. :)

He doesn't though. I say "oft! I'm getting really fat." and he just says "no, it's baby!" and rubs my tummy. Sweet huh?

I had another crazy dream last night! Well a few. The first one was nice and I know where it came from. I was talking with stephie yesterday. So I dreamt we were visiting them. But the crazy dream was about our friend Nolte! I was yelling at him because he didn't like the green beans I made. So I took off for a jog in the rain to calm down. I was very, very pregnant in the dream. I don't even like green beans! So strange. Even weirder... I could actually run in the dream. Like really far, without feeling like I was going to die. Hah! Wouldn't that be nice...

Adios Jess

Jess left today :( next time we see her there will be another person in her family! So amazing.

Friday Julie and Jess came up to palm beach. We went to O'sheas and had really yummy Irish food and relaxed. Then we decided to help Julie get her dress for mari's wedding.


She doesn't read the blog anyway so i'm putting up the funny armpit photo rather than a nice one. :) I like it better so there.

Yesterday we woke up really late and let the baby rest. Lol (we're lazy bums) then we picked up Jess and headed to Hollywood to see Julie. We painted things for babies. :)



Gabe, Jessie, Julie painted the letters E, M, and R for baby Ella's room (they were out of A's or we would have spelled out Ella and I would have been in on that... It's ok though because gabe painted a SHARK for the both of us....) and I painted Mr. Krabs for our baby. I forgot to take a photo.



Then we ate and I felt huuuuge and we walked and I was achey. By the time we got home I passed out. No insomnia last night for sure!

Today our plans are to do nothing, and it feels great. Lol

I love Jessie to death and desperately want her to move home, but she wore me out this week!! Lol!!

Cupcake connoisseurs

Jess and I hit up 2 cupcake joints yesterday.


These are from the house of sweets. I could barely finish half of mine. The red velvet was for gee as a congratulations/destress because he was nervous about teaching a new training class. :) He did great though!

They were so yummy! Plus, the bakery is connected to a vintage shop so we had fun oohing and awing at all the fun funky clothes.

Them we went to cupcake couture.


Felt like we were back at dylans in new york. :-) look how cute my preggo Jess is!

I stopped off and got dinner on the way home because I had a feeling gee would be exhausted. We ate by 6 and were asleep by 7. Lol!!

Today the baby is one of my favorite foods!!

15 weeks!

Less than a week until 4 months and we find out boy or girl!


This week has been awesome having Jess here! I really miss being able to hang out with her.

Tuesday we went to lunch, the maternity store where we bought nothing (so expensive!), and then to the most godawful movie ever. Do not see Remember Me. Just don't. Then out for Mexican food with gabe and then by the time lost was over I was ready to go to bed. Weird thing was, I got barely any sleep. I'm having trouble sleeping and I don't know why.

Last night was st. Pattys and we had the traditional corned beef and cabbage with mom and dad and then watched Johnny dangerously. We talked a lot about pregnancy with Jess. God bless her, she's not getting an epidural. I am. I'm not that brave. Gabe was a big baby and so was I. No way, give me the meds. Lol

Today is my moms birthday. Happy birthday granny! Love you!

I've been wanting to blog, really I have. But just too damn lazy to get on the real computer (not the phone like usual) and steal some photos from over the weekend at jessie's shower.

It went great, and I'm thrilled to have my Jess home for a little bit.

14 weeks!

We are now 14 weeks!

Yesterday I ate everything that wasn't nailed down in the house. I think the morning sickness has finally passed and I am easing into the crazy eating phase. :-)

I jumped on the wii and it said that not only had I been absent for 53 days (boo Liz!), but that I had lost 8 pounds in that time!! Crazy, because I know my tummy is bigger. I know I haven't been eating a lot, but the belly is definitely stretching and changing. Lol

Let's see what else.... Oh yeah! I spoke to my doctors office and they confirmed that at the next appointment I will be having a detailed sonogram that will, if the baby cooperates, show girl or boy parts! So exciting!!

Can't wait for Saturday. I get to see my prego partner in crime. :-) hope all goes well for Jessie's shower.
